DAY 01 : Pangkalan Bun Airport – Kumai – Tanjung Putting (L & D)
Arrive at Pangkalan Bun airport, meet the service, and then drive to Kumai. Pass several villages. Upon arrival in Kumai, board the boat and then boat up slowly to Tanjung Puting National Park to explore the seconder river by klotok (traditional wooden boat) while observing the wildlife such as Proboscis monkey (long nose monkey), long tail monkey, birds, etc. a long the river sides. Dinner and sleep on the boat. Lastly, free program and enjoy your Kalimantan Orang Utan Tour.
DAY 02 : Tanjung Putting - Pondok Tanggui - Camp Leakey - Nipa Area (B, L & D)
After breakfast, we are boating to Pondok Tanggui Camp to witness orangutan feeding at 9 a.m. Upon arrival at Pondok Tanggui, we walk to a feeding area. After the orangutan feeding, we can take short trekking in the forest. Then, proceed to Camp Leakey for about 1.5 – 2 hours of boating. After lunch on the boat, you can take a short trek or see the information center before the orangutan feeding at 2:00 p.m. After visiting Camp Leakey, we booted down slowly to Nipa Palm Area (house of fireflies). On the way down, we can still observe the monkeys, birds, and other animals, and in the evening, if in good weather, we can see the fireflies along the Nipah palm. Lastly, dinner and sleep on the boat.
DAY 03 : Nipa Area – Kumai – Kudangan Village (B, L & D)
After breakfast, boat to Kumai and drop your luggage at the hotel. Then, go straight to Kudangan Village by car for about 5 hours. Pass several villages, palm oil plantations, rubber plantations, local communities plantations, and forests. We will stop for lunch on the way. Upon arrival at Kudangan Village after a 5-hour drive, our guide will take you to the long house for your accommodation—sightseeing around the villages. After dinner, they will ring their gong or one of their musical instrument to gather together for a welcome ceremony. Lots of people will join you. Overnight at Long House.
DAY 04 : Kudangan Village – Trekking - Pangkalan Bun (B & L)
After breakfast, we can go to the forest and trekking; here, you can choose how many hours you want to walk in the woods. In this village, they are denied the palm oil plantation, so their forest is still good. After packing your luggage, drive down back to Pangkalan Bun by car. Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun, transfer to the hotel—free program at your leisure. Overnight at Hotel at Pangkalan Bun.
DAY 05 : Pangkalan Bun Hotel – Airport (B)
After breakfast, transfer by car to Pangkalan Bun Airport for your next destination. Lastly, end our Kalimantan Orang Utan Tour.
