Then drive to Wonosobo and visit DIENG PLATEAU, the site of some of the oldest Hindu temples on Java. Furthermore, these 50-foot-high monuments stand on a crater floor amidst sulfurous fumes. The road to the Dieng Plateau passes beautiful mountain scenery of Dieng Plateau about 2000 meters above sea level, passing Sindoro- Sumbing Valley with a rice fields view and picturesque villages with their local market; this site has stunning mountain views. Day 03: YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR + SUNSET PARANGTRITIS (B,L,D)
After breakfast, visit “KRATON” – Sultan palace, built in 1756-1790. The architecture is an example of the Javanesse cosmos style and reflects Javanesse culture. Eventually, till today, it is still used as the residence of the King or Sultan. Visit TAMAN SARI, a garden with waterways and hundreds of flowers. In the past, Sultan and their harems enjoyed their leisure time in the tower and watching females bathe in the pool below; onward to visit KOTAGEDE, see the silver workshops, including hand-beaten bowls, boxes, delicate filigree, and modern jewelry. Proceed to Bantul Regency and visit KASONGAN Village – the center of pottery with many kinds of products; MANDING VILLAGE is the center of leather production, such as wallets and shoes. Day 04: MERAPI TOUR - OUT (B)
Leave and visit MERAPI MOUNTAIN; we’ll pass the villages of CANGKRINGAN, a place for adventure lovers to escape from the heat of busy Yogyakarta.
